The Optimistic Meditator

I could have just as easily called this website “the Reluctant Meditator.” While I am powerfully drawn to a life that is awake to the Presence of the Divine and centered in the Spirit, I am also a recovering workaholic. I am a perpetual doer. Like many, I am caught in the demands of creating a life—sometimes to the detriment of actually living that life. Perhaps you can relate.

This website and my podcast Om & Go, Mini Meditations for Busy People are my ways of striking a balance between the busy-ness of life and the awe and wonder of it. I believe we can live from a place of harmony and peace, even in the midst of an active, vibrant life. Even in the midst of stress and chaos. Even in the midst of loss or sorrow. Even in the midst of…all the shades of life.

This is the power of meditation. To anchor us into the present moment. To bring us beyond our stories of life so that we are actively living. This is why I am an optimistic meditator. Join me on the adventure.
